Yerba Buena Gardens Festival

 —  —

Yerba Buena Gardens, 760 Howard Street , San Francisco

As his band’s name suggests, Rafael Sarria Bustamante created LA GENTE SF as a vehicle to bring a cosmopolitan array of grooves to the people. Bay Area Born, the charismatic frontman has honed a dance-inducing Caribbean sound blending Colombian Cumbia, Salsa, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop and Champeta. LA GENTE’s fifth album, Entre 2 Mundos, captures the band’s international spirit with music videos recorded and filmed in San Francisco, Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Morocco. Featuring Bustamante (lead vocals, guitar, percussion), Patricio Angulo (drum kit, vocals), Jordan Feinstein (keyboards, vocals), Julio De La Cruz (bass, vocals, percussion), Jesse Weber and Monica Maria Fimbrez (vocals, percussion), the sextet delivers politically conscious tunes designed to unite everyone in ecstatic movement.
